NEWS Bullion Ocean Liner gets its own website
Lying at the bottom of the Ocean is the bullion wreck RMS Laurentic off the North Coast of Irleand. Still to this day the wreck holds the record for the most amount of bullion ever recovered from a shipwreck. Lying in only 39m this wreck is a popular site for scuba divers visiting Donegal Ireland. NEW Britannic & Titanic films
(update April 08 this show is still being shown in the History Channel)
Titanic's tragic sister documentary was aired on the 17th Feb and is set to be repeated on the UK History Channel. The film which featured leading British Deep Wreck divers focused on an expedition led by John Chatterton and Richie Kohler to try and unravel some of the mysteries of why she sank so fast. Three times faster than her sister Titanic. A separate full 2 hour special about the design flaw's of Titanic also see the UK divers on this Greek Expedition with different camera angles and different dive missions. RMS Capathia (Titanic Rescue Ship) Expedition
Divers have returned from a successful expedition to dive the RMS Carpathia wreck, the ship that rescued the Titanic survivors which herself sank after a torpedo attack six years after. The wreck lies 300 miles offshore in 514ft/156m of water south west of England. Expedition diver Carl Spencer spoke to deepimage updating the site first hand as soon as the dive vessel got back to England.

The Wreck of the Wilhelm Gustloff
Maritimes worst ever sea disaster
Deep image photographer and deep wreck diver Leigh Bishop traveled to the Baltic Sea to photograph one of the most historic shipwrecks in history the Nazi ocean Liner Wilhelm Gustloff which sank with the loss of an estimated 10,000 people.

Niagara Expedition New Zealand - download news pdf - 
After almost 67 years on the Northland ocean floor,
the bell from the 121m deep gold ship Niagara will finally
ring again after and Australian and UK team of divers
recovered it and other artifacts on during the early
April expedition. The international team of divers had
been exploring the wreck of the Niagara - sunk by two
German mines off the Hen and Chicken Islands on June
19, 1940, with 590 gold bars aboard when they discovered
the prize artifact.
Deep wreck diver Craig Howell of Melbourne Australia
discovered the ornate bell which along with other artifacts
will be preserved in ready for eventual display in a
national museum in New Zealand.

Museum display of recovered wreck artifacts now open
Deep wreck divers Leigh Bishop and Jamie Powell who recovered significant items from the deep wreck 'Flying Enterprise' are to go on display to the public at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall England.
The display has now opened in Falmouth and along with many of the artifacts recovered from the famous wreck a huge private collection of Leigh Bishops personal memorabilia from the sinking will also be on display. Leigh Bishop has spent 100's of hours restoring items such as Captain Carlsens compass binnacle the ships makers plate lamps and portholes. The display also features artifacts recovered by local divers from many other shipwrecks along the Cornish coast.

Red Sea Wreck Discovered
The Al Qamar Al Saudi Al Misri
Divers have returned from Tekstreme in Sharm Egypt have been exploring the wreck of a ferry which sank just north of the Red Sea resort of Hurghada. The Al Qamar Al Saudi Al Misri was a Ferry Launched in 1970 and was 124.85 metres long with a gross tonnage of 7697. The Ship was used on the route between the ports of Suez in Egypt and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Paul Vinten told Deep Image the team of divers discovered the wreck site in 83m depth with the top approx 64m depth. A full report with images can be found by following the link below.

US
Tanker shipwreck Illinois
The US tanker 'Illinois' departed
from Port Arthur, Texas, USA on February 17th 1917,
with a cargo consigned to England was on her return
trip laden with ballast. On March 18th Northwest of
Cherbourg and approx. 20 miles north of Alderney in
the very heart of the English Channel and effectively
the center of the war zone between England & Germany
she was sunk by German U-Boat.

Kriegsmarine U-534, Birkenhead - REPORT
One of the only surviving German U-Boats that was actually salvaged from the sea has at last been photographed. The owner banned internal photography in an effort to cash in once it had been restored now a small team of Urban Explorers have gained entry at night and done the business for us using climbing gear to get up on it.
