| Image Information At 215ft depth on HMS Audacious (North Atlantic Ocean) I have spotted a diver coming towards me and made a rapid attempt to erect the tripod in order to capture the scale of the wreck. The diver hung around this area for a moment or two which was lucky for me as I would have never captured him on film using a time exposure due to his use of a DPV. Film Stock was Agfa Scala 200x pushed to 1600 asa with the camera ticked at 3200asa. I have chosen to use matrix metering and drop the exposure 1 EVA stop in an effort to capture the diver quickly before he moved on. The depth of field was caught by setting the aperture at a massive F22 which in turn pushed out an exposure on the cameras computer of approx 4 seconds. Although my diver was stationary for a small period of time note that his fins where still on the move and have taken the blunt end of the 4 seconds. Black & White film on 35mm slide format was processed at Joe's basement London. Want to see more of images like this as well as the entire HMS Audacious story click here. |
