Here you can see images of the wreck of a CH 47 "Chinook" helicopter of the Italian army, sunk in 1979 in Lake of Bolsena near Rome. The wreck is deep at 101 meter, the water is very cold (7° C.) and conditions are very dark. The CH ditched into the lake because of an engine problem however the crew survived, the helicopter is now upside down and the cockpit is broken and separated from the rest of the wreck, but the condition of conservation is still very good. The green paint and the logo "Esercito" are a perfect condition as you can see from these images.
