| Image Information In 1997 Leigh Bishop headed an expedition to locate the lost Battleship King Edward VII which was eventually located at a depth of 115m/380ft off the north coast of Scotland. Skipper John Thornton worked with the team to locate the wreck aboard his new vessel Karin. In 1997 the team had no rebreathers to use just big open circuit cylinders as can be seen here. At the time only 9 people came forward for the expedition others regarded the depth too vast for its time. Image ©Leigh Bishop1997 |
